Well, meaning of most fields is clear, but for selection fields an explanation can be useful:
UserID: Since You can manage more than 1 eBay account, you can set to show the current Alert ONLY in Offers of the selected UserID.
LangID: Here you can select to show the alert only to Visitors speaking the selected languages (test is made on Browser Language).
Items: You can decide to show the alert to a single item or to a restricted number of items: you can write here their number, separated by comma.
StoreCategory: You can choose to show the alert ONLY to items of selected Store Category
Remarks: For all above fields, NO Selection means not to consider the field, thus to show to all occourrences.
ValidFrom: You have to set Start and End date: Alert will start to be shown from the day set in ValidFrom and will automatically stop to be shown after ValidTo date
Message: HTML is not allowed: To start a new line insert /n.
jsAlert is a plugin that will allow you to dynamically add some info on top of each offer.
For each Alert you can decide the Font (among some 800 Fonts), Background, Front, and Hover Color, Font Size, Number of lines, Height of widget and text of course
This widget is meant to add additional information only: To comply with eBay rules cannot be used to fully modify the offer. For this reason the max Height of the widget is 300 px.
But... how does it works?
You set the parameters above and fix start and end time, and optionally the categories/subcategories/items enabled to show the alert.
That's it! The message is immediately visible in ALL offers enabled: and if you need to change the message, simply change it and save: the new message will be immediately visible in ALL Offers.
The jsAlert Widget is placed by default at the Beginning of the Description: but you can easily set where to place it: you just need to add a Tag like <div id="jsAlert" /> where you want it to be placed
